Sunday River will be celebrating its 50th anniversary during the winter of 2009-2010. Over the decades, the resort has evolved from a few trails on Locke Mountain to an expanse of ski terrain across eight peaks. Through discipline and innovation in snowmaking and trail maintenance, Sunday River built a reputation of delivering an unrivaled snow quality experience. During those years, Sunday River also developed a range of slopeside accommodations at a price point that welcomed new families to the sport of skiing. With many of the original owners still on resort, the addition of new families and a core of loyal skiers, the Sunday River community has continued to grow and strengthen.
